Anne’s Lake is a 1 acre freshly renovated Lake. Designed with the pleasure angler in mind to be an action-packed, easy access runs water. Consisting of 13 spacious pegs, with the added appeal of 5 x 24hr pegs. You have the luxury of being able to park next to your peg to set up with ease (pegs 1,12 & 13 are just a few metres walk).
Anne’s Lake is a mixed lake, containing approximately 250 homegrown Carp/F1s+ Bream, Gudgeon, Perch, Roach, Rudd, Tench, and 1 Grassy to hunt out. The Carp currently range from single figures to mid twenties, with the biggest weighing 26lb. The Lake is clear of weed and snags, making this a superb water for inexperienced anglers and juniors to learn the basics of angling for a range of species, while relaxing in the tree lined countryside.
Targeting the silvers is ideal on a float, using small hooks with castor or maggots. While a simple hair rigged boilie, cube of luncheon meat or corn will tempt the larger Specimen.
Fishing close in the margins is not to be ignored as a solid tactic, as is the joy of surface fishing in the summer months. Don’t forget your floater gear!
A central island provides a visible feature to fish to, alongside the subsurface humps and bumps. The deepest part of the Lake drops down to 6ft, with the shallowest water being found at the southern end. No spodding/no bait boats allowed on this Lake and we do not allow fishing from your van/car – you must fish from the bank.
